Hey all! It's my BIRTHDAY! I'm 30-FUCKING-7. UUUGGGHHH
I'm sleepy. Leading up to my Betty Boop show at Monarch on NYE, I stayed up till 9 AM several days in a row, and then it rained in SF for 2 weeks straight. My energy severely dipped. Also, I'm not sure my long Covid will ever go away.
Regardless, some of you still call me the busiest person you know and I'm trying to change that, not to do less, but to FOCUS my energy.
I REEEAAAAALLY want to write for Late Night. I'm getting better at sketch writing, been taking classes on and off. But I still don't have my joke writing down pat and I absolutely need to focus on this skill right now.
So I'm putting this out there because I won't feel obligated until I say it out loud.
BECAUSE COMEDY COMES IN 3'S, I WANT TO WRITE 3 JOKES PER DAY AND INCREASE THE NUMBER BY 3 MONTHLY.
By the end of the year, I should be writing up to 33 jokes a day! WOW can you imagine? That would be late night worthy.
I'll be sharing my jokes with those who want to support my process.
or on my website below:
If you want to pick and choose which days you want jokes, feel free to Venmo me $1 any day @Po-Mash-Co and I'll send you one, starting February 1st!
All this to say - unless I get some big paying gigs, I will be taking a step back from the limelight, which is why you should come see my next sketch show, EDNA IN A BOTTLE! It's back, baby, sadly on the heels of Pianofight's closure. We'll be closing out the venue on March 17th and 18th at 8 PM Pacific.
SF let art die. There's nothing left to say about it, except in the show, and trust, we will be! Featuring: Fenner Merlick, Oscar Velarde & Michael J. Astrauskas!

& Mark your calendars for MARCH!
AND SOONER THAN THAT - THIS SATURDAY
On February 4th at 4:30 PM Pacific, I'm attending two separate film screenings for shorts I acted in. The first is called (in)convenience by Alexandra Greenspan, featuring my improv partner, Eisa Al-Shamma and another improv colleague, Amy Stringer!
It premieres at The Roxie. Tickets HERE
And that same night on February 4th at 7:30 PM, come to our fundraiser teaser of 406 Bullet/The Licking by André Baca-Acosta at the Magic Theatre!
ALSO COMING UP - in early MARCH
On Wednesday, March 1st at 7:30 PM, I'm performing at Z Below in the 9th New Works Festival for 3Girls Theatre! I'll be reading Facebook posts again. If you ever read those, you know they'll be entertaining.
Vaccinations are required.
Writer and friend,
Nicole Gluckstern, wrote a play akin to Under Milkwood, about San Francisco in the future and I played several voices in it. Tune in to the release of her amazingly soothing radio play, The Forever Wave, on March 4th at 8 PM Pacific.
My friend, Noam Osband, is returning to Rogue Festival in Fresno this year for Brother Love's Good Time Gospel Hour, and I, Sister Alice, his gospelette, will be saving souls again, this time with a strap-on! March 3rd & 4th / March 10th & 11th at one of the fringe cabaret spaces. Details Here!
I've also begun improvising with StormMiguel Flores to prepare for an October showing of his movie script, Welcome to Roswell,
which we are going to film in New Mexico in Spring of 2024!
And I'm a dramaturg again with one of my co-stars of the above mentioned film, MarcÃa Aguilar, for her solo to play adaptation of La Mamá Chignona. I love reading her progress!
More news to come. To see anything you've missed, follow me on Instagram!
Much love,
