Hi friendz and fanz! I hope your February has been suffonsifying thus far! (Yes, in honor of Catherine O'Hara I've been rewatching Schitt's Creek.) It's my birthday month and I'm 30 again! I'm un-aging; what a relief!

The Onion fellowship didn't pick me, nor have I yet to land any work in NYC. I'm going to save money to go there and network. (commence dread)

On the books I have some auditions lined up and big strides towards Scott's Goldfire pro-social venture, including a potential new venue!

Currently, I'm excited to invite you to a show I've been directing this year . . .

It's called "Clown-Down!" by Jamie Coventry and follows a day in the life of a tramp clown named Futz. The premiere is at Little Boxes Theatre at 1661 Tennessee Street, Ste. 2S in SF.

It's next weekend, Fri & Sat, February 27th / 28th at 8 PM plus a matinée on Sun, March 1st at 2 PM. No one turned away for lack of funds, but if you can afford it, please pay $25 or more to support local clowns! Email coventryandkaluza@gmail.com to reserve your ticket, or pay at the door. :)

And if the email above isn't a tell, Jamie is the counterpart of Natasha Kaluza, whose solo show, "49/51" I also directed last fall. Their show styles are vastly different and I'm so lucky to get to work with them both!

Below are some pics of my birthday celebrations. I went to San Diego to visit my brother, Adolfo, who took me to Belmont Park for a nostalgic woodie coaster ride and my bestie sister, Angie, who took me to a fabulous drag brunch where I was crowned like the little drag king/queen that I am. Then I went to New Orleans a week before Mardi Gras with my friend, Scott, who gave me an obscure tour of the French Quarter. We met 2,000 clowns, held a memorial show in honor of his father and some sneaky snake snuck a fork in my shared birthday cake! And I got to see my fellow clown colleague and friend, Calvin. It was a lovely time. This week, Palace of Trash took me and Diana out to karaoke for our dual bdays. I am birthday'd out! Tatas for now ~ Love, *e
